
The most significant thing about this configuration is the placement of the F6.3 Reducer... If the reducer was placed in the back of the LX-200, just in front of the NGFS-1 (it's normal position), the system would not come to focus. The position shown allows ample back focus.
The other nice thing about this right-angle setup, is that you can turn the camera's wiring toward the scope, and gain another 5 or so degrees in DEC because the wiring will no longer get in the way of high Dec positions in the basket type cassegrain mount.
