Images

The images shown here were born from slide film, then scanned onto a Kodak Photo CD. The picture file size was approx. 5 meg. The images were then reduced in physical size to fit the computer screen and converted into .jpg at medium compression and 96 dpi for fastest viewing on the web.

The resulting file sizes are about 30 to 60 Kb. There is a big loss of quality, but the computer screen doesn't care as it can only produce 72 (VGA) or 96 (SVGA) dpi files anyway.
