Imaging NGC 40

NGC 40 ½ minute (1 x 30s)
NGC 40, 30 seconds at f/6.3
A single MX5-C raw frame (unsquared at 500x290) -- only the colour synthesis has been done.

This particular frame was #15 in a sequence of 40. Some frames have a slightly brighter background, some darker.

SCOPE: 10" f/6.3 LX-200.
LOCATION: Oshawa, Ontario.
DATE: 2000 October 4/5

NGC 40 18½ minutes (37 x 30s)
NGC 40, 18.5 minutes at f/6.3
After stacking 37 30-second images, the image was squared (500x373). DDP-low pass was applied (which caused the fuziness in the two bright stars). Finally, a high pass filter was applied, and an 8-bit screen stretch was performed.
