Check that the following entries are present (see figure one below):Windows98
- Make sure your computer is off.
- Plug your camera power supply into your AC power source.
- Plug the camera USB cable into one of your computer's USB ports.
- Plug the USB interface box into the power block.
- Start your computer.
- Once Win98 has finished booting, plug the free end of the USB cable into the USB interface box. (You should see an hourglass appear.)
- Once the cursor has stopped being an hourglass, right-click on your "My Computer" icon and choose "Properties".
- Click on the "Device Manager" tab.

For each of the items above that are marked with an asterisk, select them and click the "Properties" button. The device status should be listed as "working properly".
For the HIDwithBlockIO BlockIO device properties, when checking the status, you should also click on the "Driver" tab (see figure two) to see what blockio file is being used. Clicking on the "Driver File Details..." button will show you where this file is (see figure three). If the blockio is not loading, sometimes it is necessary to push the "Update Driver..." button and manually choose the blockio.sys file in the windows\system\drivers folder (especially with Windows 2000).
