My ninth night of imaging on the front porch in Oshawa. I set up Doug's 10" f/10 LX200 to test out its tracking. His scope actually tracked several of the 60-second exposures I took with it. I discovered first-hand that you can't get killer images when the almost-full moon is up!
After my testing with Doug's scope, I set up my 10" f/6.3 LX200 and prepared for tonight's killer imaging session. The moon was down at 3:00 and twilight wasn't due to start until 04:41. Tonight's mission was to get 45 minutes worth of M76 exposures and get a better final M76 image than I got last night.
With a little bit of time to spare before moonset, I also did an M33 image at f/2 (Doug's f/3.3 tele-compressor on my f/6.3 scope)! There's definite vignetting, but that could always be cropped out! I look forward to doing a serious f/2 M33 (and Helix!) from the country in September.

| An awful picture, but it shows that f/2 definitely has possibilities... | |
