I imaged from the backyard in Oshawa tonight. Temperature range was from +17C to +13C (session from 22:30 to 05:00). The sky was bright tonight, and the moon came up early so there was only an
hour or so of moonless sky tonight (last quarter moon).
I did a colour shot of M57 with the new Sony "B" chip so I could compare it to the old "A" chip (see here for comparison).
Then I switched over to the MX916 camera to give it a try and also get familiar with the STAR 2000 system. Right from the start STAR 2000 was successfully guiding 2 minute shots on my LX-200 -- a
definite improvement over taking unguided 30 second images (see M27 images below).
