I imaged from Oshawa tonight with the MX9, despite the almost full moon! Temperature range was from +8C to +3C (19:30 to 04:30). I imaged M53 and then decided to try going after some asteroids -- something I've never done with a CCD before! It turned out to be so fun, I didn't get around to imaging M3 later in the night!
The highlight (or should I say lowlight) of the night was imaging 315 Constantia at magnitude 16½! (At full moon from the city in 30 seconds no less!)
I also imaged Pluto just for the heck of it (something else I've never done before!). If I can image Pluto on two different nights in the same field, I can put together a nice little animation.
I imaged the following 8 asteroids:
| # | Name | Mag |
| 6 | Hebe | 9.6 |
| 13 | Egeria | 9.8 |
| 145 | Adeona | 11.3 |
| 157 | Dejanira | 13.8 |
| 197 | Arete | 13.1 |
| 264 | Libussa | 12.7 |
| 293 | Brasilia | 13.5 |
| 315 | Constantia | 16.4 |
Animations are shown below for two of them.
| M53 | 14 minutes (28 x 30s) |
| M53 | opens in new window |
| Adeona | 30 seconds (1 x 30s) |
