Last night (Sun/Mon) was clear, but quite hazy (thin cirrus was seen over most of the sky just before sunset) so I didn't do any imaging. Tonight the sky cleared around sunset, but I kept seeing flashes. In the southeast there was the best display of lightning in a cloud bank that I have ever seen! Fortunately it didn't seem to get any closer!
The temperature stayed at 20C tonight and it was breezy. I set up as big a windbreak as I could, but only one-third of the images I took were usable. I took more frames on NGC 7048 tonight. At 12:45 cloud moved in from the east (!) and covered NGC 7048 at 01:00.
Below is an example of a windblown frame and also the latest version of NGC 7048.
