Temperature was +15C to +13C, with fairly strong breezes throughout the night. I had trouble with polar alignment using Vega as the low-dec star, but then switched to Altair and got aligned quickly without further trouble.

There were a few mosquitos tonight because I set up in the middle of the lawn instead of next to the asphalt. I won't do that again unless the nights get a lot colder!

A few times I noticed an extra Milky Way in the sky as a narrow strip of cloud spanning the whole sky went by from north to south. Other than that it was clear all night.

I imaged with the MX9 given the shortness of the night and the troublesome breezes blowing. SN2002dp has faded noticeably during the last fortnight or so.

See June 19/20 session notes for an earlier image of SN2002dp.
