INTRODUCTION

This is the story of my Coulter 17.5" Dob (vintage: late 1980s). The Coulter is a rather simple 'scope in terms of its construction (and materials!), and many people may thumb their noses at such an instrument — but, nevertheless it works quite well! Here I will describe the few modifications that have been made to increase its performance.

More Info: Though Coulter Optical went Chapter 11 in 1996, they were purchased by MURNAGHAN Instruments, so life goes on!
