In October 1996,
a dozen members of the NYAA
journeyed by train to the Star Hill Inn.

Here's the motley crew gathered around the NYAA's AstroPhysics refractor:

22" Starsplitter he rented for the entire week.

We all enjoyed many mind-blowing deep sky
views. That 'scope REALLY sucks photons!

Right: Doug Clapp brought his 10" f/10 LX200
and mounted it on one of the available piers.

He dedicated his efforts to colour CCD imaging,
operating remotely from the Library building in the background.
