The roof frame, partially constructed.

My friend Dave Angelakis, holding the roof frame. Note how the frame is divided into 9 sections by cross pieces: the bottom middle section is the slot opening for the telescope. The slot runs half the length of the roof, which would allow a 'scope under it to see to the zenith (and a little past).
