The walls, with waferboard applied, and the vinyl siding partly installed.

¼" waferboard was applied to the walls, and vinyl siding was used to give a nice finish. The siding was cut to length with a pair of tin snips.

Note that the starter strip for the siding is placed at the bottom of the wall, not the bottom of the floor frame. This allows the walls to be removed from the floor. The floor frame was later painted white to match the siding (see next picture).

Note the hole in the wall at left. This is the lower part of the slot that the telescope looks out from. The 2x4 at the top of the slot opening was cut out later.
