Insulation has been added below. In summer, the attic is much warmer than the inside of the observatory.

Inside Stuff
Looking in from the doorway:
A) Windlass system opens/closes the dome shutters.
B) Shutter Relay controls power to the windlass motor.
C) Weather Station transmitter.
D) 4-AC outlet box (seen from the side here) is computer controllable!
E) Power Supply for all dome hardware.
F) Digital DomeWorks computer.
G) DDW Receiver for the Weather Station.
