LCOS, as it appeared in 1987. The platforms have been creosoted for water resistance, and to discourage the local porcupines from eating them. Clapp Trapp portable observatories were stored in the brown metal garbage can sheds when not in use so the porcupines wouldn't be able to eat them either!
