Shed
built
for 17.5"
at LCOS

Shed being built for 17.5-inch telescope.
Winter
1990

A 9'x11' Sears metal garden shed was built to allow the my 17½" Dobsonian to be stored permanently on-site at LCOS. Now I would finally be able to deploy the telescope unassisted. The floor was built from 9 wooden skids and various other scrap materials.

Otmar Eigler built his "Eagle's Nest" observatory, patterning it after Doug Clapp's "Litter Box" Observatory. Otmar's observatory is 8'x10' in size with 5' high walls. The roof panels are fibreglass.
