I went on the RASC's 47-hour "poor man's" expedition to see "The Big One" in Baja California -- 6:53 of totality. Although we had problems with clouds around the time of totality (the air cooled below the dew point), we were able to see the moon's shadow rush towards us, some solar prominences, and a beautiful "diamond ring" at 3rd contact. |
